“World jazz” vocalist LUA HADAR with her band, TWIST, debut their new self-titled CD - a cosmopolitan mix of original, international and standard jazz tunes "twisted" in a surprising fusion by Hadar and her musical director, jazz pianist and arranger, Jason Martineau. TWIST, a sophisticated high-energy band, is comprised of piano, bass, drums, congas and reeds, headlined by the passionate Lua Hadar on vocals. Presented in association with Scott Barbarino.

The CURE-A-THON features KGO Radio personalities, special guests and live bands. It is a live, commercial- free pledge event and auction airing on KGO Radio.

Listeners call in their pledges and bid on exciting auction items. Every dollar raised goes directly to fund leukemia and lymphoma research. The full broadcast is from 7 p.m. Friday, March 30th to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 31st.
Over the past 26 years, KGO Radio has raised over $14 million to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Last year over 200,000 people tuned in to the CURE-A-THON. Be one of them this year, and hear a selection during each half hour from 10 am to 12 noon on March 31st from the "Jazz Without Borders" set list. Lua and
